This house dates from the late 1800's and had been converted into flats at some point in the 1960's.

The brief for this project called for the consolidation of the house back to a single family use, the removal of the existing 3 storey extension and the construction of a new minimalist kitchen and living room extension to the rear.

The final design solution consists of a bespoke kitchen with polished concrete worktops, with sliding floor to ceiling glazing, facing into a private courtyard, and opening into a new single storey extension to the rear with polished concrete floors with underfloor heating, large rooflights to grab as much natural light as possible and provide some playful views back toward the main house, and a large bi-folding glazed wall to connect the house directly to the West facing rear garden.
