The challenge for this project was to take a former council house with small rooms and a small garden and turn it into a bright and spacious contemporary home while maximising the potential to use the limited garden space.

We flipped this house around, re-locating the kitchen to the front of the house. We then opened up the entire ground floor plan and added a large living room extension with a large frameless rooflight to maximise light into the centre of the house, and full width bi-fold doors allowing full access to the garden.

On a nice day the entire glass wall can be opened up and the garden becomes an extension of the living space. Even in bad weather the wall of glass draws the eye outward giving a greater feeling of space.
